1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Zap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and enterprise customers.
2. Description of Service
Zap is a local-first, peer-to-peer intelligence network for Apple devices. It enables on-device AI processing, meeting transcription, and collaborative intelligence sharing across devices without relying on central servers. Zap Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.
3. User Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at security@zap.today if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Zap to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code via peer connections
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service
- Use the Service for unlawful surveillance or recording without consent
- Impersonate any person or entity
5. Intellectual Property
Zap and all related software, branding, and content are the exclusive property of Zap Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain all rights to content you create or process using Zap.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ZAP INC. DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZAP INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
